Tracey Washington has been serving as Treasurer of the Tennessee Respite Coalition since 2022 and has been actively bringing forth awareness to the African American community about the services TRC offers. She is a native of Nashville, TN and has been working for the State of TN Treasury Department for 23 years. She also currently serves as the Finance Director for Jefferson Street Sound Museum. She graduated from Tennessee State University with a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communications and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. Ms. Washington is the founder of Sams Caregiver Alliance Group a 501(c)3 organization that provides support group meetings, resources and monetary vouchers to help provide a better quality of life for caregivers. Her personal journey as a caregiver and realizing the perplexities of balancing daily responsibilities of work and family was a journey that could not be achieved alone. Her passion for family and community are the catalyst for her life’s journey as an advocate for caregivers. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, swimming, relaxing and spending quality time with family.
