Jazzin’ for Respite Returns After 2 Year Break on Sept. 15, 2016

Tennessee Respite Coalition Signature Fundraiser Features Jazz Music, Wine & an Auction

Nashville, Tenn. (Aug. 23, 2016)—Jazz music fans, wine enthusiasts and auction aficionados can indulge at Jazzin’ for Respite, an event to benefit the Tennessee Respite Coalition (TRC). Now in its tenth year, the event takes place at the Nashville City Club in Nashville, TN on September 15th from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Food, wine, jazz from the Nashville Jazz Workshop, a silent and live auction will take place throughout the event. The event returns after a two year break, caused in part by a fire that completely destroyed the TRC's headquarters in 2014.

Nashville City Club is located at 201 4th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37219 on the 20th floor.  Tickets are $45 (or 6 for $240) until September 8th, after that tickets will be $55. Beer, Cheese and Music Event Benefits the Tennessee Respite Coalition

Nashville, Tenn.—Music fans, beer enthusiasts and cheese aficionados can indulge at Beer & Cheese Tasting, an event to benefit the Tennessee Respite Coalition (TRC). Now in its third year, the event takes place at Jackalope Brewing Company in Nashville, TN on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The Baptist Healing Trust Awards Grant to Tennessee Respite Coalition

The Tennessee Respite Coalition received a grant from The Baptist Healing Trust, which awarded funds totaling over $1.2 million in its most recent grant cycle.  “We are proud to help support 22 local non-profits working to create access to quality, compassionate health services for the community’s most vulnerable residents,” said President and CEO Dr. Cathy Self.  The mission of the Baptist Healing Trust, a private grant making foundation, is the sacred work of fostering healing and wholeness for vulnerable populations through strategic investing, philanthropy, and advocacy.
The Tennessee Respite Coalition’s grant was for $34,745 and will be used to provide respite funding to family caregivers of individuals across the lifespan and support Senior Companion Volunteers in their work to provide respite. Family caregivers need respite, essentially, temporary relief, to escape from their full time job of caring for their loved ones with a disability. Their job is one that lasts 24…
